How to care for linen, and let it age beautifully
Linen wants to be lived in. A short guide to washing, drying and learning to love wrinkles.
Linen is a fabric that improves with use. Wash cool, line dry in the shade, and resist the urge to over-iron. The crinkles are character, not flaw.
Avoid bleach and high heat — both break down the natural lustre that makes linen what it is. A gentle soap and a long, slow tumble (or better, a warm afternoon on the line) is all most pieces ever need.
